The IPFMA has established this training network in order to pursue the following aims:
- To improve the productivity and competitiveness of our members' companies
- To improve the ability of our members to adapt and to diversify their businesses
- To increase the productivity, adaptability and employability of our workforce
- To promote high standards and a commitment to CPD within our industry
- To reduce the cost of training through buyer power and greater efficiency
- To increase the quality and availability of relevant industry-specific training
- To increase the investment in training within our sector
- To share expertise and reduce the cost of developing new programmes
- To pilot new programmes, delivery formats and evaluation methodologies
- To work with the awarding bodies to develop new programmes and awards
- To promote best practice in learning and development within our sector
- To provide networking opportunities for our member companies
- To collaborate with other networks to share learning and avoid duplication
- To provide relevant industry-specific training programmes and networking opportunities to job seekers
These objectives are consistent with the main objective of the IPFMA to:
develop and maintain excellence in terms of skill and professional conduct in all aspects of the market, through the provision of education, training, professional development and regulation of its members.
